How We Got Started
Our Philosophy and Vision
Founders Onuoha and Patience Chuku
Armed with a belief that if you are going to enter a person’s life and home, you need to be trustworthy, compassionate and empathetic, Grace Healthcare Services (Grace Healthcare, Grace) opened its doors in 2006. Grace Healthcare was built on the belief that the aging process is a normal state in the development of any individual and that chronic disease and disability are, to some degree, a part of that process.
Therefore, Grace’s goals and services were based on two fundamental philosophical principles: the belief in the innate worth of the aged and disabled individual and the belief that each individual, regardless of age, race, color, creed, sex, national origin or handicap(s) is entitled to maximize their potential as a human being and as a member of our society.
With more than a decade of work, Grace Healthcare still operates true to its belief system and principals. Our staff, your care-givers, are healthcare professionals that look at patient care as a privilege and a way of life. Grace is committed to matching our clients with the right caregiver and include the client in the assignment process.
Grace understands that prompt service is often key to creating or maintaining stability in a patient’s care plan and so we endeavor to match patients and care givers that are relatively close to each other. Likewise, Grace recognizes that work-life balance is important to our staff so finding work close to home becomes part of our goal too.
In 2006, Grace Healthcare opened its doors. Through word of mouth a great reputation was built and almost immediately Grace Healthcare was invited into the homes of hundreds in the Triangle.
Grace became recognized for their quality of care; care that came from a non-franchise company that clients felt an intimate connection with. To their clientele, they became known for their “Grace” and “Patience”; patience to perform the care their patient’s need, in a grace-full way that brings everyone involved both peace of mind and serenity. These are hallmarks of our company, our staff and our commitment. They are important to us, because we know they are important to you.
